Science Works! is a new educational video series showcasing how Science, Technology, Engineering and Math are applied to real-life careers. Each 10-12 minute virtual field trip will bring viewers into the trenches of some of the most interesting STEM-related jobs, vividly affirming that math and science are not just for the classroom. Real-life professionals are designing and coding video games, developing cures for disease, providing disaster relief around the world, and finding creative ways to harness energy. By featuring various techniques, theories, and processes in an entertaining and informative way, Science Works! will energize kids to broaden their studies in these essential fields. From building robots that disarm bombs, to growing switchgrass as raw material for biodegradable plastic, careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math are absolutely cool. This series brings home the exciting realities of STEM to our future leaders and professionals.

Noelle Lara is an actress/improviser/writer originally from Lowell, MA and currently resides in LA. Noelle performs sketch and improv at the Upright Citizens Brigade theater in Los Angeles. At UCB she hosts a live show where she interviews kids called "A Little Advice." She is proud to be an actor in Story Pirates, an award-winning children's theatre company that takes stories written by kids and turns them into an awesome show. Noelle can be seen in various College Humor Original videos and trying to sell you products on your television. In 2007 she created a summer running camp for inner city kids called "Noelle's Running Camp." She graduated from the University of Connecticut honors program in both communications and journalism. For run she enjoys running marathons, reading non-fiction, and exploring new places.
